BBC4 ‘A Digital Picture of Britain’ (2005) and BBC4 ‘Britain in Pictures’ (2007)
Commissioned by the BBC and presented by Tom Ang, Emily was one of three photographers profiled for the South East region, creating images of rural, urban and industrial landscapes using a mobile phone digital camera they had supplied her with. Although the image quality for each individual photograph was insufficient for her needs, once collaged together she was able to create pleasing results.
This first experience using a digital camera converted her working practice, enabling greater ambition in her collage technique.
